On November 30, 2013 the IERCC received a distress signal from a SEND device and dispatched local first responders to the reported location. While the group of Hikers had cell connectivity, 911 doesn’t receive precise location data, so they decided it was best to push the SOS button on their SPOT Device. The Boise Fire Department and Ada County Paramedics responded to a distress call a little after one o’clock Saturday afternoon.

Two people were hiking in the foothills near Bogus Basin. When one of them slipped on a rock, she suffered an injury that left her unable to walk.
