28 April 2015 at 0145 GMT the GEOS International Emergency Response Coordination Center (IERCC) received a 911/SOS alert from a SPOT device in Sequoia Kings National Park, California.  IERCC personnel contacted local emergency services and informed them of the activation. SAR personnel responded to the location and transported a male with an unknown medical condition that occurred during a hiking trip.  The individual was transported by helicopter to a nearby hospital where he received treatment for his condition.
