23 September 2015 at 0608 GMT the GEOS International Emergency Response Coordination Center (IERCC) received a 911/SOS alert from a SPOT device in Arrens-Marsous, France. IERCC personnel contacted local emergency services and informed them of the activation. SAR personnel responded to the location and transported two individuals who became stranded on a cliff due to inclement weather conditions. The individuals were transported by helicopter to a secure location. No injuries reported with this incident.
