30 September 2015 at 1514 GMT the GEOS International Emergency Response Coordination Center (IERCC) received a 911/SOS alert from a SPOT device in Freemont County, Wyoming. IERCC personnel contacted local emergency services and informed them of the activation. SAR personnel responded to the location and transported an individual suffering from injuries due to being thrown from a horse. The individual was transported by helicopter to a nearby hospital where he was treated for his injuries.
