15 November 2015 at 2052 GMT the GEOS International Emergency Response Coordination Center (IERCC) received a 911/SOS alert from a SPOT device in Hinton, Alberta, Canada.  IERCC personnel contacted local emergency services and informed them of the activation. SAR personnel responded to the location and transported two males who became immobile due to getting their vehicles stuck in the snow. The individuals were transported by a patrol vehicle to the nearest town. No injuries reported with this incident.
