30 December 2015 at 0215 GMT the GEOS International Emergency Response Coordination Center (IERCC) received a 911/SOS alert from a SPOT device in Idaho County, Idaho.  IERCC personnel contacted local emergency services and informed them of the activation. SAR personnel responded to the location and transported a 50 year old male who sustained unknown injuries caused by a snowmobile accident. The individual was transported by helicopter to the nearest hospital where he received treatment for his injuries.
