08 February 2016 at 1926 GMT the GEOS International Emergency Response Coordination Center (IERCC) received a 911/SOS alert from a SPOT device in Teton County, Wyoming.  IERCC personnel contacted local emergency services and informed them of the activation. SAR personnel responded to the location and transported a 16 year old male suffering a broken femur caused by an accident while hiking. The individual was transported by helicopter to the nearest hospital where he was treated for his injury.
