19 February 2016 at 2114 GMT the GEOS International Emergency Response Coordination Center (IERCC) received a 911/SOS alert from a SPOT device in Valley County, Idaho.  IERCC personnel contacted local emergency services and informed them of the activation. SAR personnel responded to the location and transported a male suffering from a back injury caused by falling off of a cliff while snowmobiling. The individual was transported by snowmobile to a waiting ambulance that transported him to the hospital where he received treatment for his injuries.
