22 April 2016 at 0154 GMT the GEOS International Emergency Response Coordination Center (IERCC) received a 911/SOS alert from a SPOT device in Western Australia.  IERCC personnel contacted local emergency services and informed them of the activation. SAR personnel responded to the location and transported a male suffering from severe injuries including a broken collar bone and broken ribs caused by a motorcycle accident. The individual was transported by ambulance to a nearby hospital where he was treated for his injuries.
