05 July 2016 at 0205 GMT the GEOS International Emergency Response Coordination Center (IERCC) received a 911/SOS alert from a SPOT device in British Columbia, Canada.  IERCC personnel contacted local emergency services and informed them of the activation. SAR personnel responded to the location and transported 14 individuals who became stranded due to flooding while out riding ATV’s. The individuals were transported by helicopter to a secure location. No injuries were reported with this incident.
