30 July 2016 at 2124 GMT the GEOS International Emergency Response Coordination Center (IERCC) received a 911/SOS alert from a SPOT device in White River National Forest, Colorado.  IERCC personnel contacted local emergency services and informed them of the activation. SAR personnel responded to the location and transported a female who began having severe chest pains while out hiking. The individual was transported by helicopter to the nearest hospital where she was treated for her condition.
