04 September 2016 at 1415 GMT the GEOS International Emergency Response Coordination Center (IERCC) received a 911/SOS alert from a SPOT device in Sublette County, Wyoming.  IERCC personnel contacted local emergency services and informed them of the activation. SAR personnel responded to the location and transported a 54-year-old male sustaining a groin injury caused by a horseback riding accident. The individual was transported by ambulance to a nearby hospital where he was treated for his injury.
