12 February 2017 at 1504 GMT the GEOS International Emergency Response Coordination Center (IERCC) received a 911/SOS alert from a SPOT device in Fremont County, Wyoming.   IERCC personnel contacted local emergency services and informed them of the activation. SAR personnel responded to the location and transported an individual who got stuck in waist deep snow while hiking and became very cold. The individual was transported by ambulance to a nearby hospital where he was treated for his condition.
