16 April 2017 at 1859 GMT the GEOS International Emergency Response Coordination Center (IERCC) received a 911/SOS alert from a SPOT device in Malheur County, Oregon.  IERCC personnel contacted local emergency services and informed them of the activation. SAR personnel responded to the location and transported a 40-year-old male sustaining a dislocated shoulder while rafting. The individual was transported by ground crew via a rig to a waiting ambulance where his injuries were examined.
