14 April 2015 at 0237 GMT the GEOS International Emergency Response Coordination Center (IERCC) received a 911/SOS alert from a DeLorme inReach device in Custer County, Colorado.   IERCC personnel contacted local emergency services and informed them of the activation. SAR personnel responded to the location and transported a male and female who sustained minor injuries while mountain climbing. Their equipment failed causing them to fall 30 feet. The individuals were transported by National Guard helicopter to a nearby hospital where they were treated for their injuries.
