03 May 2015 at 1900 GMT the GEOS International Emergency Response Coordination Center (IERCC) received a 911/SOS alert from a DeLorme inReach device in British Columbia, Canada.   IERCC personnel contacted local emergency services and informed them of the activation. SAR personnel responded to the location and transported a 30 year old male who sustained a broken collar bone and head laceration from a snowmobile accident.  The individual was airlifted by helicopter and transported to a nearby hospital where he received treatment for his injuries.
