21 August 2015 at 1741 GMT the GEOS International Emergency Response Coordination Center (IERCC) received a 911/SOS alert from a DeLorme inReach device on Wild River in Alaska.   IERCC personnel contacted local emergency services and informed them of the activation. SAR personnel responded to the location and transported four males who overturned their boat and couldn’t endure the cold weather. One of the males also sustained a chest injury. The individuals were transported by helicopter to the nearest hospital where they received treatment for their condition.
