24 January 2016 at 1819 GMT the GEOS International Emergency Response Coordination Center (IERCC) received a 911/SOS alert from a DeLorme inReach device in Angles National Park, California.   IERCC personnel contacted local emergency services and informed them of the activation. SAR personnel responded to the location and transported a female in her late 20’s that was suffering from severe injuries all over her body caused by falling off of the trail on a hiking trip. The individual was transported by helicopter to the nearest hospital where she was treated for her injuries.
