19 March 2016 at 1949 GMT the GEOS International Emergency Response Coordination Center (IERCC) received a 911/SOS alert from a Garmin inReach device in Livingston-Park County, Montana.   IERCC personnel contacted local emergency services and informed them of the activation. SAR personnel responded to the location and transported a 35 year old female sustaining a knee injury caused by a skiing accident. The individual was transported by helicopter to a nearby hospital where she was treated for her injury.
