30 September 2016 at 0400 GMT the GEOS International Emergency Response Coordination Center (IERCC) received a 911/SOS alert from an InReach device in Park County, Wyoming.   IERCC personnel contacted local emergency services and informed them of the activation. SAR personnel responded to the location and transported a 45-year-old male suffering from a back injury and other possible internal injuries caused by falling off of a horse. The individual was transported by helicopter to the nearest hospital for treatment.
