02 October 2016 at 0002 GMT the GEOS International Emergency Response Coordination Center (IERCC) received a 911/SOS alert from an InReach device in Crook County, Wyoming.   IERCC personnel contacted local emergency services and informed them of the activation. SAR personnel responded to the location and transported a 31-year-old male who cut his thumb while out hunting. The individual was transported by ambulance to a nearby hospital where his injury was treated.
