20 November 2016 at 2114 GMT the GEOS International Emergency Response Coordination Center (IERCC) received a 911/SOS alert from an InReach device in Madison County, Montana.   IERCC personnel contacted local emergency services and informed them of the activation. SAR personnel responded to the location and transported a 57-year-old male who was having trouble breathing after collapsing while on a hunting trip. The individual was transported by helicopter to the nearest hospital where he was treated for his condition.
