05 February 2017 at 1614 GMT the GEOS International Emergency Response Coordination Center (IERCC) received a 911/SOS alert from an InReach device in Kittitas County, Washington.   IERCC personnel contacted local emergency services and informed them of the activation. SAR personnel responded to the location and transported a 30-year-old female who became severely dehydrated while suffering from food poisoning while camping. The individual was transported by ambulance to the nearest hospital where she was treated.
