15 April 2017 at 2349 GMT the GEOS International Emergency Response Coordination Center (IERCC) received a 911/SOS alert from an InReach device in Maricopa County, Arizona. IERCC personnel contacted local emergency services and informed them of the activation. SAR personnel responded to the location where a 45-year-old male and his two children became stuck when his truck slid sideways down a hill. The two children were evacuated by helicopter to the Sheriff’s Office and the male individual waited for an off-road recovery truck to recover the vehicle. No injuries to report with this incident.
