26 April 2017 at 2102 GMT the GEOS International Emergency Response Coordination Center (IERCC) received a 911/SOS alert from an InReach device in Owyhee County, Idaho. IERCC personnel contacted local emergency services and informed them of the activation. SAR personnel responded to the location and transported a 44-year-old male sustaining a dislocated shoulder due to a rafting incident. The individual was transported by helicopter to the nearest hospital where his injury was treated.
